Ergon Energy Retail is the main electricity retailer for households in Townsville, which is in regional Queensland. Unlike South East Queensland, most Townsville customers cannot freely switch between a wide range of competing electricity retailers, and regulated pricing generally applies. You can still check your tariff, solar feed-in offer, concessions and payment options directly with Ergon Energy Retail. The Australian Government’s Energy Made Easy website can also confirm available offers and help compare plans, while eligibility for concessions is determined by the relevant Queensland or Australian Government department.
