Canberra households can compare electricity retailers and plans using the Australian Government’s Energy Made Easy website, which uses your postcode and estimated usage. Compare the supply charge, usage rates, discounts, contract conditions, solar feed-in tariff and any exit fees rather than focusing only on headline discounts. ACT households may also qualify for energy concessions or hardship support, depending on their circumstances; check the ACT Government’s current guidance. Your best option will depend on your usage and preferences, so confirm the final rates and terms directly with the retailer before switching.
